2011 Web & Interactive Media Portfolio

Web Development

In a world constantly growing ever more dependent on the web, it only makes sense to work with someone who specializes in web development and knows it inside and out, front-end and back-end. I'm familiar with web standards and I just do things right.

Flash Development

Some projects just need that extra boost in visual beauty or interactivity. If a project calls for Flash development, well, let's just say I have it covered. Original thinking combined with a stunning design and the right code can result in amazing things.

Aesthetic Design

Some things, anyone can learn. Having an eye for design and thinking creatively are both things that can't be taught. I've been creating and designing my entire life. Every project I design looks professional and is sure to provoke positive viewer reaction.

Projects

The projects below are mostly freelance or personal ones and therefore, all the design and development work was done by me unless otherwise noted in the description.

Angela Ruple Design

This simple HTML website is designed to put the focus on my client's work. The website features several neat jQuery features to add some flair.

Launch Project

EyeSee Executives

This website for New York based EyeSee Executives is done in clean and simple HTML/CSS. I did the design and markup while a friend took care of the logo and content.

Launch Project

Royal Gardens Association

This group project was created for a real non-profit company. I was the lead developer of the team, so while the design is not mine, I did the front-end programming with jQuery and JavaScript as well as the back-end with PHP and MySQL. I also created the Flash-based header and did some of the markup.

Launch Project

Heluva Photo Concept

This unique, horizontal scrolling, photography portfolio concept is built with JavaScript and valid XHTML Strict markup. It currently displays the work of August Bradley. This project won an Art Institute Best of Quarter Award.

Launch Project

Timothy Christian School

I designed this HTML website to load quickly, fit on wide variety of screen resolutions and effectively display a lot of content in a clean and organized manner.

Launch Project

Shimano Cycling Concept

This demo site was done for a DHTML class. It features several custom JavaScript components like a magnifiable product viewer and custom scroll bars, among others. I also used Ajax to create a dealer finder feature. This project won an Art Institute Best of Quarter Award.

Launch Project

River Rock Casino Map

This is a small Flash-based interactive map of the River Rock Casino property. The design was given to me in an Adobe Illustrator file that I eventually turned into a fully functional web application.

Launch Project

Brian Koenig Portfolio

This Flash portfolio utilizes some advanced maths adopted from a 2d physics engine to create an innovative method of viewing the artist's work. My client and fellow Art Institute student won the Best Final Portfolio Award with this website.

Launch Project

Langmore House Interior Design

This client wanted a Flash website that showcases some photos of their work. The dominant feature in this site is a large slideshow. The rest of the content appears over the photos in sliding panels.

Launch Project

Haas Media

My client on this project was interested in a Flash website but also wanted an alternate HTML version for users without the Flash Player.
